Hats

I made a few baby hats for some new little ones.  I made a hat for my niece*, Tessa, but mailed it off before I got a picture taken.  I also didn't get one taken of Baby Grace's hat.

*All of these links go to the Ravelry website.  You need to be a member of Ravelry to view but it is free to join.  If you'd like to see these patterns and don't want to sign up w/ Ravelry, let me know and I'll try to send you a different link to the patterns.

The others I remembered to get some snaps of before giving away.

Baby Jonah's hat: (I can't remember where I found this hat pattern - if I find it in the future I'll come back to link to it.)

Baby Caleb's hat:

Baby Maddox's hat:

I also participated in a gift exchange last night with my Bunco group.  We were to give a mug and fill it with whatever we chose.  I thought it would be fun to put a nice winter hat in there.  I got started and the pattern worked up very nicely.  Easy to understand, pretty design, all that good stuff.  The only problem was my gauge was off.  But see, I didn't check my gauge at the start - I usually don't - so when I got towards the end, I realized it was going to be way too big to give.  I didn't have time to fix it so I scrapped the hat idea and went with some nice froo-froo lotion (and Sixlettes, Andes mints, a hot chocolate packet and a winter-y pencil - blue w/ snowflakes - and it matched the mug I gave)!

This is the hat, the Divine Hat, and there are still two rows for FDPC (front post double crochet) to go!!  You can see the attached yarn trailing off over my right shoulder ... since it isn't finished and I haven't clipped the yarn I think I'll end up frogging it.  I'll try again because it really is a cute hat pattern - I'll just move down a hook size and see what that does for me.

I love all your hats! I really need to get some things posted...I have been working on Christmas gifts for others and stuff for my shop.
I love the last hat...I will have to try it...does it have a brim?
:) Thanks for sharing!

No, the Divine Hat pattern doesn't have a brim. I guess you could probably figure out how to put one on if you wanted to, though! Looking forward to seeing all of your recent projects :)
