Baby Blanket

Now that Idol is over for the night....I can blog!!!
My friend Andra had her second girl on January 25th...Vivana Clara Baldwin! She is adorable and already a month old weighing 10lbs! I wanted to make something for her and started in December (I think) on this fun blanket pattern.
The pattern was in 2 pastel colors and I wanted to do something fun and bright! Andra originally planned the nursery in polka dot brights so, I thought this was perfect. She did change the nursery colors, but oh well...baby will never know! I used multi-colored sock yarn and Caron simply soft solids to make the stripes.
It was fun and crocheted along pretty fast, but the more rows added...the longer it took to complete one round! It was crazy! Only 36 rows and an easy pattern to follow, but it would take me an hour or more to do those last several rows!!!

I hope she likes it...I am going to give it to her tomorrow. :)
