Ajay's Mittens

It only took me a year but I finally finished Ajay's mittens.  I started and finished one mitten last year, then this year, when Ajay started mentioning how cold his hands were on our way to school, I figured it was probably time to start and finish the other mitten.  It was a fairly simple pattern.  Unfortunately, since there was about a year between the making of the mittens the second one came out a bit bigger than the first.  You can tell just by looking, and you can tell when they're on Ajay's hands.  Hopefully he won't mind too much.  He was very excited to try them on and he danced around the house for awhile with them on.  Then a few minutes after that he threw them down and declared he didn't like them.  I guess we'll see how he likes them once it starts to cool down again.

I used 100% wool and I do believe it was Lion Brand - I lost the wrapper long ago.  I had to use a hook a lot smaller than what the pattern called for.  When I used the hook I should've used I ended up with a mitten big enough to fit my hand!  It called for a G-hook and I used an E-hook.

(Ignore the dates on the pictures, I replaced the batteries in my camera and didn't get the correct date set.)
